The Dollhouse Deaths

In this episode, Grace talks about the life and legacy of Frances Glessner Lee, known as “the mother of modern forensic science”, as well as the crimes and cases Glessner used to develop The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death.  These tiny “dollhouse deaths” are used in teaching student investigators techniques for identifying and cataloging evidence at the scene of a crime.  She also sits down with Bruce Goldfarb, author of 18 Tiny Deaths: The Untold Story of Frances Glessner Lee and the Invention of Modern Forensics to talk a little bit more about France’s accomplishments and contributions to the field of forensics.
